“It’s already installed itself into the Barracuda’s control panel,” says Shen.

“What happened to Hadal?” you ask.

“I fed him to the fishes,” replies Shen. “I don’t think Triton is going to be very happy with us.”

The comms link opens. Admiral Crabbe appears on the screen.

“Well done, you two,” smiles the admiral. “The Atlantean ships have fled or surrendered. Looks like we’ve got them on the run.”

  “So, we win?” you ask.

The admiral shakes his head. “We’ve won the battle, but not the war. We still haven’t found the hole in the seabed. We have to push the Atlanteans back to Atlantis and seal up the hole.”

You’ve done well so far, but your job’s not over. You’ve still got work to do if the planet is going to be safe!

You stare at the Barracuda’s scanner screen. “There’s a lot of ocean floor down there. It will take months to search every square metre of it.”

A detection signal beeps, and Shen points at her screen. “I’m picking up another sub – an Atlantean ship.”

You are instantly on the alert. “A warship?”

Shen shakes her head. “No, it looks like a supply vessel. It’s leaking fuel and moving slowly. It seems to be damaged.”

You give her a grin. “It will be heading home for repairs. All we have to do is follow it…”
